In January 2025, we upgraded the Japanese futons in all guest rooms.
In 2026, we completed the terrace renovations and interior refurbishment featuring traditional Kyo-Karakami decorative paper and new Kyoto-style tatami in the Horai guest rooms of our Main Building.
The newly renovated terraces feature Kitayama cedar, grown in the mountains of northern Kyoto, and have been carefully crafted to preserve the timeless beauty and character of traditional Japanese architecture while harmonizing with the historic atmosphere of our ryokan.
